The Orbital Sound Effects Library is the result of ten years of train-spotter like dedication to the collection of sound effects. From dogs barking at cats to cats getting the cream, from guns in all manner of situations to get-away cars. We have collected more than 33,000 sound effects totalling some 300Gb of data! Included in this there are thousands of effects gleaned from all over the world, as well as hundreds more completely original effects recorded by the Orbital sound design team.

The library is completely digital and can be accessed from anywhere in the world over the internet simply by entering a user name and password. Files are stored as WAV files which are directly compatible with most popular sound effects sequencing systems including Akai samplers and SFX Show Control. All sounds are freely previewable as low resolution MP3s. Files are professionally hosted to guarantee high up-time and fast, efficient download.

We usually make our Sound Effects Library available to the sound department of any of our productions - throughout rehearsals, pre-production and previews, right through until press night (and after, if the need arises).
