PICKUP is a revolutionary, interactive, audio guide from Dataton.

You can use pickup at museums, at exhibitions, visitor centres - wherever you need personal, portable, top quality sound.

The PICKUP unit weighs just 65 grams and features a single navigation button for utmost usability. Sound is accessed by headphones or earpieces plugged into a jack input on the base of the unit.

Point PICKUP at the hotspot transponder near the object of interest and press the yellow button, the sound recording relevant to the hotspot's id number then plays instantly. It uses mp3 audio stored on a smartmedia card and offers advanced feedback options.

The PICKUP unit and the discreet hotspot transponder [3cm diameter] communicate with infrared signals at a distance of up to six meters. Hotspot id numbers can be easily changed via software running on the Dataton touchdown panel, so when your exhibit changes you only need to change the audio files on you smartmedia cards and the id numbers of the relevant hotspots.
