Alcons Audio develops professional sound systems using ribbon technology for the installation, cinema and touring/rental industry. All products are developed and manufactured in house with traditional craftsmanship combined with the latest technologies, materials and production processes.

Alcons' ribbon drivers were developed by Philip de Haan, sr. R&D engineer and 20+ year veteran in ribbon transducer technology. He is initiator of a number of significant patents and can be seen as "father" of today's high-output pro-ribbon technology.

The Q-series is the group of modular column line-source speakers, to be used as flat-Isophasic line-array, either in stacked or flown configuration. Applications include permanent installations as ultra-directivity array in "acoustically-challenging" venues and high quality theatre installation.

QR36 is a one meter line-source column with 6x Neodymium 6.5" woofer and double RBN1801 pro-ribbon driver on two 90° × 3° Hemphorn™ wave-guides. Designed as highly-directive compact FOH top cabinet, side-fill, or as part of large line source column for ultimate projection control. This is also available as the QR18 half meter line-source column.
