The d&b Ci-Series is a collection of loudspeaker systems and hardware fittings specifically targeted for fixed installation use. Based on the established d&b product range the Ci-Series tackles the varied demands and requirements made on installed sound systems within the complete range of venue types and sizes. The Ci-Series includes loudspeakers and specialized accessories that can be properly colour matched to interior designs, are mechanically adapted for installation use and can provide protection in climatically hostile environments. The Ci-Series maintains the "d&b specific" combination of natural, intelligible sound character that is clear and transparent, even at high sound pressure levels providing the engineer with an efficient, effortless tool and a neutral platform for the creative part of his work.
Drawing from the knowledge and experience gained from d&b's standard product lines, the Ci-Series shares the architecture of all its systems. Combining loudspeakers, electronics, accessories, remote control, documentation, data, product support and service to create complete, integrated solutions for sound reinforcement applications.

Ci80 Loudspeaker
Ci80 Loudspeaker

The Ci80 is a full range, two way bass-reflex enclosure, utilizing an 8"/1" coaxial driver combination with a passive crossover. Coaxially mounting the 1" exit HF compression driver and 8" LF driver creates a very compact single driver whilst retaining the benefits of separate magnetic assemblies. The drivers are positioned together to utilize the combined shape and geometry of the LF cone and HF horn to create a single waveguide with a controlled, symmetrical, 85° conical dispersion.
The Ci80 frequency response covers the 70 Hz to 20 kHz band, suitable for applications not requiring very low bass. Where further low frequency extension is required the Ci80 can be supplemented with d&b active subwoofers E12-SUB or Ci-SUB. The compact cabinet size and the wide conical dispersion of 85°, allowing both horizontal or vertical mounting, makes the Ci80 an extremely versatile loudspeaker ideal for use in the near field, within surround systems or as delays.
The Ci80 cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact resistant paint finish. The front of the cabinet is protected by a rigid metal grill fitted with an acoustically transparent foam. The 30° angled rear side panels of the cabinet allow Ci80s to be positioned side by side forming miniature arrays. Four M8 threaded inserts are provided for attaching installation hardware. The cabinet rear panel is fitted with two NL4 connectors wired in parallel.

Ci45/Ci60/Ci90 Loudspeaker
Ci45/Ci60/Ci90 Loudspeaker

Ci45, Ci60 and Ci90 are full range, two-way bass-reflex enclosures each fitted with a 12" LF driver passively crossed over to a 1.4" exit HF compression driver coupled to a CD horn with 45° × 45°, 65° × 40° or 90° × 40° respectively and are acoustically compatible due to the superb CD characteristics. The Ci60 and Ci90 cabinets allow the horn flares to be rotated through 90° enabling flexibility in placement for a given dispersion. In the standard, upright operating position the CD horn is positioned below the LF driver so the HF dispersion is less likely to be influenced by reflections from walls, ceilings or other equipment mounted nearby. This arrangement improves the headroom before feedback when systems are flown above the stage. The systems are characterized by a maximum SPL of 136 dB (Ci45 /Ci60) and 135dB (Ci90) respectively with an extremely precise coverage pattern. The frequency response of these systems extends from 18 kHz down to 55 Hz enabling use in most applications without a subwoofer. Where higher SPL with an extended bass response is required the systems can be supplemented with d&b active subwoofers Ci7-SUB or Ci-SUB.
The Ci45 /Ci60 /Ci90 cabinets are constructed from marine plywood and have an impact resistant paint finish. The front is protected by a rigid metal grill fitted with a replaceable acoustically transparent foam. M10 threaded inserts are provided on the top and bottom, and on the sides of each cabinet, for attaching installation hardware. A recess at the top of the rear panel which also serves as a handle, is fitted with two NL4 connectors wired in parallel.
